The thing that grabbed my attention the most is how their massively changing hunter. Survival will now be melee and fight with a pet, Beast Mastery will be ranged and fight with a pet, and Marksmanship will be ranged but have no pet. Having a survival hunter, I'm not sure how I feel about this. I'll probably try it but may end up switching to Beast Mastery.
So, today on August 6, 2015, World of Warcraft: Legion was announced at Gamescom 2015 by Blizzard Entertainment. If you have not checked out the stream yet, I suggest you check it out here.
To sum it up, it's about Gul'dan freeing Illidan Stormrage, who is back, and the Burning Legion launching their biggest invasion on Azeroth yet. It features lots of new heroes and villians, as well as multiple much older ones including Maiev Shadowsong and Xavius. The setting takes place on the Broken Isles, the new continent.
The newest features include the new class Demon Hunter, which I think is going to be amazing. It also has a new max cap at level 110, and the new continent the Broken Isles, which includes the zones that follow. (Suramar, Highmountain, Azsuna, Val'sharah, Stormheim, and the Broken Shore). There are so many new features, and I think it's going to be great.
So is it good? Yes. Is it great. It had better be!
Please write what you think it's going to be like here! Please note this topic is not complete, so I will add more in the future.
Hello everyone. WoW's latest expansion, Legion, was announced today. It will revolve around the largest Burning Legion invasion of Azeroth ever, even bigger than the War of the Ancients. Here's a quick sum-up of the story.
At the end of Hellfire Citadel, Archimonde pushes Gul'dan through the Black Gate. From there, the Burning Legion banish him to Azeroth. He travels to the Vault of the Wardens and finds Illidan. He also opens up a massive portal in the Tomb of Sargeras that connects to endless Legion worlds, allowing demons to pour through into the Broken Isles. This expansion has so many features and I really hope they deliver most of the things they promised and don't cut numerous things like they did with Warlords of Draenor.
So, lets discuss opinions and theories in this thread.
I personally think that this expansion has the potential to be the best expansion ever, even better than Wrath of the Lich King. I think Blizzard has definitely redeemed themselves after the failure that was Warlords of Draenor. I have a feeling that Gul'dan will try to either destroy Illidan or recruit him but fails, and he and his Illidari help us fight the Legion. I think it will definitely be an amazing expansion and one of the best, if not the best, they ever do.
If we look back, they've been foreshadowing this expansion since Mists of Pandaria, maybe even with Cataclysm. With Cata it would've been due to the Well of Eternity dungeon. Definitely in MoP though, they foreshadowed it with Wrathion's vision and the warlock green fire questline. In WoD there was major foreshadowing with Patch 6.2 and the Archimonde and Twisting Nether lore changes, as well as the legendary questline. I am surprised that they're doing the Legion invasion expansion this early though - I thought the 6th expansion would be the naga/Zandalari xpac and the 7th would be the Legion invasion.
Anyway, leave your thoughts below and lets discuss Legion.
In this guide I will be showing you the fastest way to get the Securing Draenor achievement for Draenor Pathfinder (allows you to fly on Draenor). This is a guide for both Horde and Alliance players. You will of course need level 100 for this achievement. This is also a good way to get Apexis Crystals for baleful armor tokens and empowerment upgrades!
I will probably make a more in-depth guide on YouTube, and I will link it here if and once it is made.
.:-- ALLIANCE--:.
1. Frostfire Ridge
Frostfire Ridge is the hardest place for Alliance players to get to as it acts as the HORDE's base-zone. Alliance players only have two flight paths to Frostfire Ridge, Iron Siegeworks and Bloodmaul Slag Mines. This is what I suggest Alliance players do first, and save the easiest for last. Follow my path below for the most efficiency in completing the Frostfire Ridge bonus objectives. DON'T FORGET to pick up your Mission Missives for Magnarok, Stonefury Cliffs, and Iron Siegeworks, for extra rewards.
At level 100 you almost immediately do your firrst Garrison Campaign, the Iron Siegeworks. You should have a flight path to there if you remembered to get it while there, but if you do not go to Gorgrond and locate the path through the mountains into Frostfire Ridge. If you have the Bloodmaul Slag Mines flight path, I suggest you do that, as Stonefury Cliffs, our first destination, is right next to it. Once there, start doing the Stonefury Cliffs bonus objective, and then move east to Magnarok. Do Magnarok, and once done there go BACK to Bloodmaul Slag Mines and fly to Iron Siegeworks (assuming you have it). Do the Iron Siegeworks bonus objective and then you'll be done in Frostfire Ridge!
2. Gorgrond
The path for Gorgrond can be used as Alliance and Horde players, although my path starts at Highpass because my main alt is Alliance. The bonus objectives here are Everbloom Wilds and The Pit. DON'T FORGET to pick up your Mission Missives for Everbloom Wilds and The Pit for extra rewards.
Either way you want to travel to your Gorgrond outpost (Beastwatch for Horde, Highpass for Alliance) and start making your way to Everbloom Wilds. Once you get there, do that bonus objective, and then move northwest to The Pit, just in front of Blackrock Foundry. This is probably the hardest bonus objective to do in all, and may require you to bring a friend or two, but what I like to do is locate the cannon ammo, and then shoot the cannon into the large pit, where the Iron Horde are fighting each other. It will give you a TON of progression, and will make things go faster. Try not to die, there's a little more advice.
3. Talador
This zone's path can also be used by both Alliance and Horde, and the bonus objectives are Shattrath Harbor. Shattrath Harbor should also include Shattrath City as well. DON'T FORGET to pick up your Mission Missive for Shattrath Harbor for extra rewards! You may want to get a friend for this, unless you're good at the game in some way.
You should have the flight path to Shattrath City, but if you do not then travel to your outpost (Vol'jin's Pride for Horde, Fort Wrynn for Alliance) and make your way to Shattrath City. Once there do the bonus objective, and then you can move on to the next zone!
4. Spires of Arak
Now we move on to probably one of the best zones in all of Draenor, the Spires of Arak. This zone also has only one bonus objevtive, and that is Skettis. DON'T FORGET to pick up your Mission Missive for Skettis for extra rewards!
Now I don't currently know of any flight paths near Skettis, but you can easily just go to your faction outpost, and walk there yourself, it shouldn't be too hard to get to. Once there, go ahead and do the Skettis bonus objective, and you'll be finally ready to move on to Nagrand.
5. Nagrand
Nagrand has been in World of Warcraft since the Burning Crusade in Outland. Nagrand is definitely a beautiful zone, Draenor and Outland versions both, and this zone has about two bonus objectives, Broken Precipice and Mok'gol Watchpost. DON'T FORGET to pick up your Mission missives for Broken Precipice and Mok'gol Watchpost for extra rewards!
We are going to start off with Mok'gol Watchpost first. There is a flight path right outside of it, so fly there if you have it. If not, then go to your faction outpost and run there on a mount, it doesn't take long at all since Nagrand is mostly flat land.
Once there, go ahead and do that bonus objective. Then you can go north, and Broken Precipice isn't too far. These should both be somewhat fast, I know Broken Precipice is. Once done in Nagrand, hearthstone back to your garrison, and Alliance players can move on to the last zone.
6. Shadowmoon Valley
Although we could've done Shadowmoon Valley first, as it is the Alliance's main zone, I figured we'd save it for last, the somewhat easiest to get to. This zone includes Socrethar's Rise, Darktide Roost, and the annoying-to-get-to, Pillars of Fate. DON'T FORGET to get your Mission Missives for Darktide Roost, Socrethar's Rise, and Pillars of Fate for extra rewards!
If you have the Darktide Roost flight path, then good for you! Go ahead and fly there, but if you don't have it, you should have Socrethar's Rise. From there swim (or walk on water) to Darktide Roost. Do the bonus objective there, then go back to Socrethar's Rise. Don't forget to pick up the flight path at Darktide Roost, so that you can fly to Socrethar's Rise. Do the bonus objective there, then it's time to move onto Pillars of Fate.
You want to fly to Akeeta's Hovel, in between Spires of Arak and Shadowmoon Valley. Once there, move south along the road, and you will soon get to a crossroads. Take the RIGHT path, not the left. The Pillars of Fate are just up ahead. Finish that, then hearth back to your garrison, assuming the cooldown is done.
.:--HORDE--:.
NOTE: I am unsure how many flight paths in Shadowmoon Valley Horde players get. I would assume they do get Darktide Roost and Akeeta's Hovel, but otherwise you will have to find your own way to the three locations.
1. Shadowmoon Valley

Well, hopefully this guide was helpful to you. If you have any ideas for it, please tell me below. I apologize to Horde players, I do not play Horde, and mine is only level 93 as this is written. But anyways, I hope this helped. I will most-likely make a guide on YouTube that you can check out... I will link that below once I have it up.
Most of us can agree by now that Warlords of Draenor was overhyped and is an absolute failure of an expansion. Here's how I would have done WoD:
6.0: Ashran would be more like Wintergrasp and Tol Barad including a raid similar to Vault of Archavon/Baradin Hold called Ashran Caverns with Burning Legion bosses, raids would've been Highmaul and Karabor, with Ner'zhul as the final boss of Karabor. Also would've had less focus on garrisons.
6.1: Blackrock Foundry
6.2: Less focus on apexis, also would've made Lion's Watch and Vol'mar mini garrisons. Ashran is corrupted by the Burning Legion, causing Stormshield and Warspear to be destroyed (Delvar Ironfist and Vivianne would still be available as followers in the Ruins of Stormshield and Ruins of Warspear for people who didn't recruit them yet). Lion's Watch and Vol'mar replace Stormshield and Warspear as the Draenor faction hubs. Players in Ashran are now able to use fel-infused siege weapons and fight elite demons and Shadow Council members in the zone. New bosses are added to Ashran Caverns. Followers and ships can now also be sent on missions to Ashran, which reward conquest points, honor points, and PvP strongboxes.
6.3: The Burning Legion has retreated to Shattrath, their last safe bastion on Draenor. The city has been corrupted with fel energy, and fel energy has begun to spread through Talador outside the walls of Shattrath. The combined forces of the Alliance, Horde, and Iron Horde fight the Legion in Talador (through a questline) until they get to the gates of Shattrath. Shattrath is the new raid, with the final boss being Lord Jaraxxus. In the ending cinematic, as Jaraxxus falls, he fires a final blast of fel energy at Khadgar, attempting to kill him, but Grommash jumps in the way and sacrifices himself so Khadgar can live. The Iron Horde and draenei return with the Horde and Alliance to Azeroth. The Iron Horde's forces join the Horde, while Yrel and the draenei join the Alliance.
If you have any ideas for WoD, I'd like to hear them.
So based on what we already know about the Warlords of Draenor, I'm asking you guys to share your speculations about it on here. Here's my speculation:
Velen in the present will not be involved, because he in the past will be involved and if his present and past self were in the same time period, it would mess everything up.
So as you might've heard, 5.4 came out yesterday (September 10, 2013), adding a large variety of content including the destruction of the Vale of Eternal Blossoms, the new Flex raid difficuluty, the Timeless Isle, the new raid Siege of Orgrimmar, and much, much more. One thing that might be hard to notice right away is that new battle pets were added in 5.4. Also on that note, the maximum amount of battle pets you can have was increased to 1,000. Here are the new battle pets:
Ashwing Moth - This little guy is a level 25 battle pet that can be found wandering out in the open on the Timeless Isle. You must duel him to obtain him.
Kovok - A rare quality battle pet that drops from the Paragons of the Klaxxi encounter in the Siege of Orgrimmar raid. He has a chance to drop in all four modes of Siege of Orgrimmar (Raid Finder, Flex, Normal, and Heroic).
Droplet of Y'Shaarj - A rare quality battle pet that drops from the Sha of Pride encounter in the Siege of Orgrimmar raid. He has a chance to drop in three of the four modes of Siege of Orgrimmar (Flex, Nomral, and Heroic).
Blackfuse Bombling - A rare quality battle pet that drops from the Siegecrafter Blackfuse encounter in the Siege of Orgrimmar raid. He has a chance to drop in all four modes of Siege of Orgrimmar (Raid Finder, Flex, Normal, and Heroic).
Zao, Calfling of Niuzao - A rare quality battle pet that is a mini version of Niuzao. He can be purchased from Master Li by getting three Celestial Coins from the new Celestial Tournament on the Timeless Isle.
Yu'la, Broodling of Yu'lon - A rare quality battle pet that is a mini version of Yu'lon. She can be purchased from Master Li by getting three Celestial Coins from the new Celestial Tournament on the Timeless Isle.
Xu-Fu, Cub of Xuen - A rare quality battle pet that is a mini version of Xuen. He can be purchased from Master Li by getting three Celestial Coins from the new Celestial Tournament on the Timeless Isle.
Chi-Chi, Hatchling of Chi-Ji - A rare quality battle pet that is a mini version of Chi-Ji. He can be purchased from master Li by getting three Celestial Coins from the new Celestial Tournament on the Timeless Isle.
Skywisp Moth - This little guy is a level 25 battle pet that can be found wandering out in the open on the Timeless Isle. You must duel him to obtain him.
Flamering Moth - This little guy is a level 25 battle pet that can be found wandering out in the open on the Timeless Isle. You must duel him to obtain him.
Gooey Sha-ling - A rare quality battle pet that drops from the Sha of Pride encounter in the Siege of Orgrimmar raid. He has a chance to drop in two of the four modes of Siege of Orgrimmar (Raid Finder and Flex).
Ruby Droplet - A rare quality battle pet that drops from the Garnia mob on the Timeless Isle.
The list will be expanded as I discover more new battle pets (if there are any). Also, if you want to find more on these battle pets such as their abilities, look in the pet journal in-game.
Tier 1 - Plague Leech: I used to have Unholy Blight until Plague Leech came out in Mists of Pandaria. The reason I chose Plague Leech is because as a Death Knight, I seem to deplete runes quickly, and always get Frost Fever and Blood Plague on the target. Up until Cataclysm, I used to be able to rely on Blood Tap. But Blizzard screwed up Blood Tap in Mists of Pandaria, so I had to choose Plague Leech as my Tier 1 talent. It's really reliable to convert a rune to a Death Rune, recharging it. It also makes it so you can use abilities that require Death Runes more easily.
Tier 2 - Purgatory: I chose Purgatory for my Tier 2 talent because Lichborne is for tanking and PvP and Anti-Magic Zone is stationary. Purgatory lets you live longer. When you are in the Purgatory stage, you want to immediately start using abilities like Death Strike and Death Siphon. If you manage to get healed somehow in Purgatory, you'll live past the Purgatory stage. This is good for raiding and world boss fights.
Tier 3 - Asphyxiate: I chose Asphyxiate as my Tier 3 talent because Death's Advance is mostly for PvP and Chillblains is also for PvP. Asphyxiate, however, is a better version of Strangulate, a silence ability. It's really good for everything PvE and also is hepful in PvP.
Tier 4 - Death Siphon: I chose Death Siphon as my Tier 4 talent because Death Pact and Conversion kind of suck. Death Siphon is helpful for when Purgatory triggers, and Plague Leech helps to make it so you can use Death Siphon.
Tier 5 - Runic Empowerment: Runic Empowerment is the best choice for your Tier 5 talent because Blood Tap used to rock, but now in Mists of Pandaria, it sucks. Runic Corruption is MEH. Runic Empowerment helps somewhat with Plague Leech. Whenever it's hard to use Plague Leech, you still have a chance Runic Empowerment will recharge a depleted rune.
Tier 6 - Remorseless Winter: The final talent you should pick is Remorseless Winter. Desecrated Ground is for PvP, and Gorefiend's Grasp is for tanking.
I am kicking off a new series of forum posts that will be guides to scenarios. This one is for the Arena of Annihilation one.
Scar-Shell: Avoid his Shell Spin, and attack as hard as you can right after he does his Shell Spin, since he is stunned for 5-10 seconds.
Jol'Grum: Avoid his Headbutt, and using Crowd Control (silencing, stunning, freezing, etc) abilities on him when you can.
Little Liuyang: When he casts Firewall, have only one person focus on each of the small spirits, so that way the Firewall is down quickly. Also, try to avoid the Firewall. If none of your group is harmed by the Firewall, you will receive the achievement "Beat the Heat".
Chagan Firehoof: Completely ignore his Yak, Batu, and focus on Chagan himself. Try using Crowd Control Abilities on Batu.
Final Challenger: There are 3 different final challengers, so here are the strategies for each.
Satay Byu (1/3 Final Challengers): Try having people switch aggro once a person gets to about 8 stacks of the Rooting Poison, so that way no players are rooted.
Maki Waterblade (2/3 Final Challengers): When he casts his Whirlpool, run away so that way you are not drawn to him, thus taking no damage.
Cloudbender Kobo (3/3 Final Challengers): Coming soon...
Ding! You hit 90! Here's what you should do daily quest-wise once you hit 90.
First, open the gate to the Vale of Eternal Blossoms (if you haven't opened it yet). Once you arrive, a quest should appear on the side of your screen. Click it, accept it, and fly to Krasarang Cove in Krasarang Wilds. You should then do all the 5.1 Operation: Shieldwall Quests and Dailies over there.
Now lets say you complete the dailies for the day, but have plenty of time left. Go either do the Order of the Cloud Serpents Dailies in the Jade Forest or the Klaxxi Dailies in the Dread Wastes.
Now lets say you complete one of those daily quest lines and still have more time. Go do the dailies for whatever faction you didn't do.
YOU STILL HAVE MORE TIME?!
Head over to Halfhill in the Valley of the Four Winds and do fishing, cooking, and farming over there. After that, it's up to you what you do with the rest of the time you have available to do dailies.
Now while you're doing any of these dailies, you could queue up for a dungeon or scenario to get geared up for heroic dungeons and raids. I highly recommend doing this.
