Union is the only path to hope. Hope is the path to victory.
- Drasgar Emsworth
Drasgar Emsworth, the Lord of Kiranus, High Paladin of the Vanguard, Highlord of the Silver Hand, and The Ashbringer, was a human male Paladin from Lakeshire that was born in -3 AC. The husband of Skaitia Emsworth, Drasgar served in the Alliance as a General, and was often recognized across Azeroth as a hero.

Drasgar Emsworth was born in -3 AC in the small town of Lakeshire in the Redridge Mountains. At birth, his parents saw potential in him as a holy warrior of the Light. Drasgar grew up through the First and Second Wars, and traveled to Stormwind City at sixteen years of age to train in the Paladins of Stormwind as a paladin. Throughout his years of training, he met a Gilnean woman claiming to be a traveling merchant. In 20 AC, when Drasgar was twenty-three years old, he left his acolyte stages and became a full paladin, joining the Stormwind military in the process. Later on, he participated in the Third War, and the Battle of Mount Hyjal. In the years following, he grew acquainted with Skaitia Drakornai.

Eventually, Drasgar traveled to Outland to join the Fourth Division of Kul Tiras. Their first mission was to travel from Honor Hold to Shattrath City during an expedition. Through this journey, Drasgar grew acquainted with the members of the military group, including Padin Uriall, Jaxon Uriall, and Thasiyra Dulan. After their journey, the Fourth Division began working to repel demons in Netherstorm, during which the sub-division Lone Raiders was formed. After the attack on the Sunwell and the defeat of Kil'jaeden, the Fourth Division was recalled to Stormwind to rest until further notice. Their respite ended quickly with sudden attacks on Stormwind and Orgrimmar. The Fourth Division was then called to Northrend, to combat the undead Scourge forces under the Lich King Arthas Menethil. They combated the Scourge in Borean Tundra until they were called to aid Bolvar Fordragon at Angrathar the Wrathgate. The Fourth Division set up a camp at Coldwind Heights while Drasgar went to join Bolvar at the Wrathgate. This ended in massacre as the Forsaken released their new plague against the Alliance, Horde, and Scourge. Drasgar barely managed to escape alive, and managed to save an orc warrior from death as well. Drakthor thanked Drasgar for saving his life, and he returned to his own forces. Less than twenty-four hours later, the Lone Raiders set out to combat Scourge forces closing in on their position while the rest of the Fourth Division escaped to the 7th Legion Front. This ended in yet another massacre, nearly all of the Lone Raiders being killed except for Drasgar, Jaxon, and Thasiyra. In the following months, Drasgar worked in Icecrown, with Jaxon as his second-in-command, aboard the Skybreaker. At some point, he led an Alliance force sent to Coldfront Glacier to fight a Scourge army there. The battle was neither a victory or loss on either side; the Scourge forces were massacred and forced to disperse, but the Alliance forces were also nearly wiped out, only a handful remained. Following this, Drasgar helped in the assault on Icecrown Citadel, alongside Gazy and several other heroes of the Alliance and Horde.

After the Lich King's defeat, there was peace in the world. Drasgar continued to train in Stormwind City, now a member of the Vanguard of the Light. At some point he was confronted by Kaygorn Zibard, the leader of the Vanguard, who informed Drasgar that he had been chosen to take a place in the Council of Five. In the following months, Drasgar worked with the Vanguard to repel Forsaken forces around the Silverpine Forest area, and he also bonded with Skaitia. Eventually, Deathwing went on a rampage across Azeroth, and Drasgar began working with other Alliance forces to stop him. He also traveled to Gilneas after Skaitia had been turned into a worgen, along with many others, and brought her to Darnassus, where she was healed by Dorondaer Fadrielad. After the defeat of Ragnaros and Deathwing, Drasgar and Skaitia began working together more often - especially when Pandaria was discovered. They began by traveling through the Jade Forest, the Valley of the Four Winds, and Kun-Lai Summit together before parting ways; Drasgar rejoined the Alliance forces in combating the Horde, and opening the gates to the Vale of Eternal Blossoms. The two reunited prior to the Siege of Orgrimmar, where they fought together to take down Garrosh Hellscream. Drasgar attended the trial of Garrosh at the Temple of the White Tiger, and later was part of the task force sent to an alternate Draenor to stop the Iron Horde from attacking Azeroth.

On Draenor, Drasgar dealt with the Iron Horde in Talador, Nagrand, and Gorgrond. He overcame some of his greatest obstacles throughout the Draenor Campaign, and obtained new ones. After the death of Garrosh Hellscream in Nagrand, Drasgar returned to Lunarfall garrison and began aiding the draenei in Shadowmoon Valley and Talador, alongside Skaitia. During this time he grew a friendly relationship with the Rangari Maielle. During the Assault on Tanaan Jungle, Drasgar oversaw the construction of Lion's Watch and saw to it that their missions throughout the jungle were successful. After the defeat of Archimonde at the Black Gate, Drasgar and Skaitia married in Shadowmoon Valley. Mere months after, the Burning Legion began its third invasion of Azeroth, this time from the Broken Isles.
