|The Ebon Warrior|
During the War in Northrend, Kirani was known as the Ebon Warrior and led Scourge forces in combat against the banded forces of Azeroth. At some point she was confronted by members of the Argent Crusade and taken to Tirion Fordring and Darion Mograine, who both told her of the Lich King's intentions, and that he would even sacrifice her in order to succeed. Enraged at these words, Kirani demanded that they free her so that she may confront Arthas atop Icecrown Citadel, and let her go they did. She approached the Frozen Throne and attempted to combat Arthas out of rage, but she was quickly defeated, easily outmatched by his great powers, and her now lifeless body was thrown from the top of Icecrown Citadel. However, during the final assault on the citadel, the Knights of the Ebon Blade took her body to Acherus, where they managed to resurrect her for a second time. She then agreed to join them, although loosely, and then went into hiding so that the night elves would not find her again - as she had over the years developed a hatred for them.
During the Burning Legion's third invasion of Azeroth, Kirani was summoned by Highlord Darion Mograine to aid the Ebon Blade in the fight against their old enemies. Kirani agreed to help, and soon after took up the Blades of the Fallen Prince, made from the shards of Frostmourne, saying she would wield them out of vengeance against Arthas, who had long since been deceased. Kirani did not, however, lead the Ebon Blade, and left that to another Acherus death knight of the Alliance, Gazy.
