Taran Zhu is a pandaren monk and the lord of the Shado-Pan. Earlier on in the Pandaria Campaign, he trained Vol'jin to become a monk, and later on he confronted Garrosh Hellscream at the Vale of Eternal Blossoms, where he failed to stop Hellscream in unleashing the power of the sha upon the Vale, as he was impaled by Gorehowl.
After the Siege of Orgrimmar, Taran Zhu appeared in Orgrimmar to take a defeated Garrosh to Pandaria, where he would be put on trial by the August Celestials. After Garrosh escaped prison by the end of the trial, it was revealed by the celestials - who acted as the jury - that Hellscream's fate would have been a second chance to make things right.
